Wait, this isn’t just a one-season show? Not that I have read anything about that, I just assume so because that wasn’t an ending-ending.
*sigh* Another disappointing Disney+ finale. I don’t know how they do it. It’s like a broken clock that’s somehow right less than twice a day.
Ugh, the Jedi did the thing I hate. I mean it’s realistic, but it drives me mad. On one hand you’re not fucking owning up to your mistakes and pretend it’s just a contained problem, but on the other you want people to put trust in your institution?! So far Vernestra is the highest-up fuckup, I hope it won’t spread to Yoda.
The question of the show was if it would be Mae or Osha who’d be the Acolyte. I was expecting them to merge and so both become it, that way you’d really get the Power of Two (if there is another season, maybe that will still happen). Osha turned too fast, doesn’t jibe with what we’ve seen of her before Yeah, she says it’s so Qimir will let Mae live, but Osha seems too okay to learn from him (unless, because Osha & Mae are one consciousness and they seem to be opposites, some sort of magical value switcheroo was set in motion when Mae decided to back out of her deal with her Master and confess to the Jedi). Loved the self-fulfilling prophecy part of it though, how she’s only gone to Brendok because she meant to stop the person she thought was Mae from killing Sol.
If Mae doesn’t remember anything of the last 16 years, I wonder how Vernestra expects her to help find Qimir. Could Mae act sort of like an antenna for Vernestra’s Force Echo skills?
Another thing I expected (because I have no idea what’s canon, SW could just have been heading for another retcon) was for one of them - including Qimir - to turn out/become Darth Plagueis. But then Plagie was actually shown. I’m confused, why does his student look for a student? What happened to the Rule of Two?
Speaking of Qimir, I like that he was so normal when not wearing his helmet. If you only see theatrically evil characters, you might not recognize some evil in real life.
Maaaan, Bazil felt so pointless. They kept him around all the time, making me expect there’s a point to it, but then we got nothing. I was expecting something meatier than Mog finding out that one of the Khofar party survived.
