Harry Potter: Had to interrupt my reread, because of Lethal White. Goddammit, will I ever manage to read all HP books in a row?! Probably not, since I'm such a slow reader and a terrible procrastinator.
Strike series: Still hoping one day it'll be known as the Strike & Ellacott series. Anyway, my copy of Lethal White finally arrived yesterday. I'm 10 chapters in[Spoiler (click to open)] and it felt far too tedious to get through the Strike-Robin relationship drama until the case finally got going. While watching the TV adaption had improved my opinion of Strike, I still don't like the idea of him and Robin as a couple. There are tropes that just rub me the wrong way. I friendship them big time, though. I have the wild hope that they'll try that romance and find out that it doesn't work out and they just should be friends.
Doctor Who: Dammit, the new season starts while I'm on vacation! I don't know if I'll have the time to watch it until I get back, which also means I'll have to dodge spoilers for a few days. Wish me luck! [Spoiler (click to open)]Judging by the trailer, the Doctor gets her new accent by landing in Sheffield. Hey, it's nice that it isn't always London, but ugh, but why does it always have to be England?!
Muse: I'm so crushed with disappointment. It seems Simulation Theory will be a fucking pop album, I haven't preordered it yet. This might well be the first of their albums I won't buy. The 4th song they released has traces of old Muse, but contains the same things I hate about new Muse. It feels so slow (like everything from this album so far) and repetitive, there's something wrong with the melodies (can't quite describe it, but there's something about putting certain notes together that makes it sound dumb - that problem has been there since Uprising), fuck the random-ass Queen guitar, and have I mentioned the tragic absence of rock?!
Clarissa Explains It All: In March, I think, there'd been talk of a revival, but nothing seems to have come of it. At least assume that, because Melissa Joan Hart has a new show coming up and it isn't CEIA.
Veronica Mars: Aw yeah, at least she's getting to return again!
