Hello livejournal. How are you? That's good. Me? I've been worse, but I've been better too.

Best thing happening right now is that I'm cast in Lend Me a Tenor at Peoria Players. I am playing Tito Morelli, the Italian Opera star, and the titular tenor. I get to have a crazy Italian accent-- a little more Super Mario than Don Corleone though. We've got a pretty great cast-- it's a little intimidating being the youngest one there, though there are people with less experience than me.

Some people may look down on community theatre-- say that the acting is bad, none of the young actors learn anything, they do only crappy musicals or super popular things like Rent, and that people only do it to have other people applaud and tell them how good they are-- and I have no doubt that in many cases all those things are true. But I don't think that is the case here-- Lend Me a Tenor is a hard show to do well, and we have a talented group of people that are doing it to entertain the audience and not for the spotlight. Regardless, I am extremely proud and happy to be in the show.

Besides that... I have a job (finally) at Qdoba... aka Mexican Subway. They're opening a new store in Peoria It's a job, a source on income, and that's the important thing, even though a small part of my soul will die with every burrito I make. Mom thinks they will make me a manager because I'll probably be one of the few people working there with a college degree... we'll see.

I've applied at a bunch of other places to do all kinds of things-- wait tables, data entry, security gaurd-- because I really need money. Loans come up soon, and I need to start saving. Sarah and Kansas' wedding kind of cleaned me out.

Speaking of which, Sarah and Kansas' wedding was really nice. Nice outdoor ceremony (short-- glad they didn't do a Catholic wedding. yeesh) and a nice reception. Plus, I got to wear a pretty sweet tuxedo.

Other news, I've been helping my brother remodel his laundry room and bathroom. The drywall looks pretty good for a couple of guys who had never hung drywall before.
I've been reading, mostly Star Wars (I need to Fanboy more. Maybe then I might update livejournal more than once every two months).
I've been playing video games. Even though Chrono Trigger is over fourteen years old, I'm glad I have completed what is universally considered one of the best games of all time. Now playing Super Metroid.
Been meaning to write, and start playing guitar, but have had no motivation. I'm sure once I start working I will, but will then have no time. Oy.

You might see more of me on here. Maybe.
