Woohoo, I got my cell phone to work- I forgot to change frequencies. I'm pretty sure the # is (011-61)0401-419-160, but it will be off most of the time anyway unless I'm making/expecting a call. It was weird that it remembered the stored numbers from my address book, even though it's a completely different SIM card... huh, interesting.
Today the sociology lecturer was talking about postmodern media analysis, semiotics, etc... stuff that I've already studied in depth, but which I think is neat. She started to say something about "the very popular chap....I forget his name... seemed like a nice guy, then killed his wife." It was amusing that she couldn't remember OJ's name (a big contrast from the U.S. media b.s.). In the psychology class at Millersville last summer I had an African-American professor. She said that when the OJ verdict was announced, the local black community cheered, not because they thought he was innocent, but because for the first time a black person was able to buy his way out of trouble just like many other celebrities have done. I'd never thought of that before. Huh.. uh..why am I talking about OJ? Don't know.
Beach tomorrow... then leaving for Sydney on Friday.. probably stay till Monday, not sure. Two more weeks, then I'll be road tripping for the rest of April!
