So I wasn’t sure that I was even going to do these this year. They took up so much time last year and that was time that I had to spare. They were a great distraction from my course work but I'm not sure they'll be from actual work. But I did get a lot of pleasure from writing them.

Thank you so much! It means a lot to know that you went back and read the posts after the fact! I butchered them a little before the cut to get them to work better for my recap/projection of Adam & Kris's career so I hope that didn't matter. I didn't think anyone would be reading that far back :S

What are they trying to do is a very very good question! I don't think they know and that's the problem. The judges aren't sure what the series should be this year. Last year, and in a way Seasons 6 & 7 were taken out of their hands by certain contestants and now they're trying to reproduce what happened there and that is never going to work! But these kids had no clue what they want to be and they're not being given the time to find out.

I find it strange that the judges, especially Kara, are so much about finding your niche and not changing because last year it was the people who changed it each week that got others tuning in. Who wants to see the same thing week in week out!?!

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Adam brings but it's going to be very reserved compared to what he's been doing these past weeks. I'm also looking forward to hearing Kris come back with one of his songs. Plus my fingers are crossed that they might finally let Blake Lewis on with 'Heartbreak On Vinyl' or Castro with 'Let's ust Fall In Love Again' but they don't seem to like either of them so I'm not holding my breath.
