This week, the world lost a genius, an innovator, an inspiring man. A man who brought us hi-tech stuff that at first, none of us ever thought we needed and now, things that we can't imagine living without. A man who persevered and didn't quit until he finally established Pixar. The man behind Apple and Pixar, Steve Jobs.
Ever since college, I was already fascinated with the companies that Steve Jobs co-founded. I even remember back in 5th year, Mr. Calero gave us homework - research on Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. I think that homework turned my other classmates into Steve Jobs fans. I was already a Steve Jobs fan back then. Awesome man.
In fact, I openly told people that I want to work at Pixar or Apple just because of the environment, culture and the philosophy behind these companies. Create. Entertain. Do what you love.
Cut to this week.
I was just discussing with my dad the new iPhone 4S when I saw in the morning news that Steve Jobs died. We all knew that it was gonna happen but I was still shocked that it happened just a couple of months after he resigned as the CEO of Apple. I was so stunned that I wasn't able to focus much on work since I just wanted to read articles, special messages, tributes and other things about him. He really made a huge impact. Imagine learning about his death through a device he created. Really, the world mourned for him.

Thank you, Mr Jobs for the macbooks, iPods, iPhones, iPads, iTunes, iLife, iWork, and the rest of the awesome Apple products because without your creative genius, these things wouldn't exist. These things are a huge part of my life now. Honestly, I will have a hard time operating a PC now. I've been a mac user for quite a long time. I use a mac both at home and at work.
