2008 in Review
2008 was the "Year of the Rat" in the Chinese Calendar - my animal sign. Some people think that just because you're sign is a rat, you'd be lucky this year...not really. I had my fair share of good luck but there were also times when I lacked luck. Anyhoo, it was a great year.
Highlights of the Year:
Finally made the big switch....to Apple - Yes! I finally replaced my old laptop (who helped me survive my college years) with a Black Macbook I named Macguff.
Davao Trip - I finally had the chance to visit San Mei! It was also my first time in Davao and this will probably sound weird but I thank my job for it (we had to do a project in Davao). It was a fun trip even though I didn't get to experience the white water rapids. Next time San Mei, the whole gang will invade your place ;)

Balikbayan Roger - Pareng Roger came home to visit us and so we kinda had a small SCL reunion. It was great seeing my blockmates again!
Google - My friends were resigning from their jobs because they weren't happy, they were looking for something else. Their situations made me think and so, I explored opportunities. Went online and looked for career opportunities in various gigantic corporations...Disney, Apple, Google, Pixar and so on and so forth. I found a Marketing position over at Google (Singapore). I emailed my CV with little expectations. After a few days, they emailed me and scheduled for a phone interview. To cut the story short, I didn't get the job. Probably they were looking for someone with a lot of work experience. Oh well...sayang lang. Better luck next time.
Waves of Goodbye - I had a lot of good friends who bade farewell to Publicis this year. The office isn't the same without you guys and I'm really happy that I still get see you every now and then. Holler at Tintin, Nadine, Denise and Rinna. I miss seeing you guys around the office.

HK, we meet again! - This is becoming a tradition for me, might as well apply for a frequent visitor's card or something. haha Every year since 2006 I've been visiting this shopping haven called HK. In fact I've been to HK twice last 2007. This year, I was with my family for Halloween :)

2 for 1: Rihanna and Chris Brown Concert - The best birthday ever! The concert was held on the eve of my birthday (and then it spilled over to the first few hours of my birthday). It was a good thing that I was on my birthday leave. Kate and I had a blast! We were even influenced by my sister, Mielle and her friend Cathy to enter Alchemy for the After Party. Saw Michael Johns hahaha
Vegas Night: Publicis Christmas Party - Props to the Christmas Party Committee! No performances hence, no late night practices! Fun, money (real and play money), yummy abundant food and Sober Club! This has been the best Christmas Party ever! (well in my 3 years of attending Publicis Christmas Parties hehehe and this was also mentioned by others) :)
