Alright. So don't get me wrong here, I'm all for the smoking ban in bars. I admit it took a little getting used to since alcohol usually goes down easier with some smokes (and somehow keeps me aware of my sobriety level), but I don't miss reaking of cigarettes for the days that follow. It's just that a few weeks ago, I walked into Barfly and seriously felt as if I had just entered an armpit. The combined smell of sweaty old man and unwashed hipster was so overwhelming that I couldn't even stick around to enjoy Bluegrass night. I actually preferred to be greeted by that cloud of smoke because it masked that intolerable stench of B.O. Can't they make a law against that? It has to come with some health hazzard! Or maybe just force bars to have proper ventilation systems? I WANT MY BLUEGRASS NIGHTS BACK!
