Summary : When Key (a blonde, British, sweet but snarky fifteen year old) and Jonghyun (a blonde, Korean slash American overly excited twenty-one year old) have both the bitch level of +1000, nothing ends up right.
(so basically this story is about a snowboarding boot camp. wouldn't it be super hot if Jonghyun would snowboard ? lol.
snowboarding!jongkey ahead of you, guys.)

The sky was pitch black when the headlights of a big dubble decker bus with big capital letters spelling 'NYC TOUR' on the back illuminated the parking lot of the hostel of a skiing area named 'The Sahara'.

The bus kept driving until it came nearby the entrance of the hostel so that the passengers didn't have to put too much effort in dragging all of their belongings to the building, the roaring of the engine disturbing the peaceful silent that seemed to rest over the entire, snow white area.

Kids with the age variating from nine to eighteen one by one all but excitedly left the bus, rubbing the sleep out of their eyes and waiting on the parking lot for the driver to open the trunk which held their suitcases.
They sluggishly dragged their luggage away from the bus when they retrieved them, sauntering over to a monitor who was already waiting them up at the entrance of the hostel.

They slowly walked through the big transparent doors of the building, some of them yawning, others leaning onto each other with their eyes half closed. You could see they were all exhausted from the long trip they just had to fight themselves through.

Their monitor lead them through the dark corridors straight to a bright lit up auditorium. The guy ordered them to leave their suitcases in the wide corridor and the kids all grunted in exhaustion, dropping their belongings onto the echoing tiles. Once the last passengers of the bus had entered the building and the driver drove the bus to its reserved parking space, the door of the lit up auditorium opened, revealing about thirty other kids seated on the floor.
In a blink of an eye all heads turned to the opened door and everybody looked up at the latecomers.

"Yeah ! There you guys are !" An excited voice that belonged to a blonde haired guy with a beaming smile exclaimed. Some of the kids had to adjust to the sudden light, others softly groaned at the superfluous excitement of what they assumed was going to be one of their monitors for the next two weeks. Oh joy.

The person, a tall guy with short brown hair, who escorted them to the auditorium told the arrived kids to sit down wherever, making his own way to the far corner of the room where about three other young looking adults were looking up at the stage where the blonde guy was standing on. It wasn't really a stage though, more like a wooden increase in the floor, still high enough for the children to see the bonde asian. (because really, his height wasn't all that spectacular)

Once the shuffling and soft mumbling of the kids came to a stop, the monitor began enthusiastically smiling and talking again.

"Aah, I'm happy to see that you arrived here safely !" He gave the kids a warm smile. It was dead silent in the auditorium, probably because the clock already indicated ten pm and the participants of the skiing slash snowboarding boot camp had just endured an endless trip to the resort.

The blonde guy had to talk loudly in order for the last row of kids to hear him as clear as the ones seated in the front, clasping his hands together with that same goofy smile intact on his face.

"We were just in the middle of introducing everybody, and now that we're complete, I guess we can continue," He explained, the smile turning into a grin, "I'll quickly introduce myself again for the latecomers, so my name is Jonghyun Kim," He pointed at himself like Eminem would do, biting his lip as he did a swift three-sixty, earning chuckles from the crowd of children and stupid remarks of his co-workers, "but you can call me whatever you want, like JK or J-Awesome.  Whatever you kids call old people like me nowadays," He snickered.

"What's that ?" Someone asked, slightly confused and the blonde monitor's head shot up. Trying to find the source of the voice.
He smiled friendly once he noticed a small boy around the age of twelve who eyed him strangely, "What do you mean ?"

The boy got slightly red when all heads turned to him, heaving up his shoulders so that his face was partially hidden behind his collar, "Y-your name," He said quickly, letting out an unnoticeable relieved sigh when all eyes averted back to the stage.

The monitor grinned, the one he couldn't seem to wipe off his face, "Jonghyun," He repeated slowly, pronouncing every syllable as if he was talking to a monkey.
The auditorium was soon filled with whispers and mumbling, kids repeating the name and giggling at how funny it sounded coming out of their own mouth.
"It's Korean," Jonghyun explained with twinkling eyes as soon as the talking went down, some of the kids' face contorting in confusion.
"Anyways ! I'll be the one escorting group B !" He grinned from ear to ear, "that means, all the cool kids from nineteen ninety-six to nineteen ninety-eight,"

There were a couple of sighs (which the older boy ignored), but also countless of cheers, which caused for the smirk on the blonde's lips to grow even more.
"That tall guy over there is Jeremy," He pointed at the far back of the room to a handsome looking guy with short brown hair, the one who had previously escorted the latecomers to the auditorium, "he will be the leader of group A, that means the ones between seventeen and eighteen,"

The blonde raised himself a little on his feet, eyes searching for somebody who was also standing at the back, the grin vanishing and a smile appearing instead as his gaze found its destination, "And that troll over there is Tess, she's going to be the leader of group A, that means the kids younger than fourteen,"

The girl (she had long blonde hair, tied up in a tight pony tail) glared at Jonghyun but he ignored it, chuckling lightly.

Then he turned his head to the side where a couple of other people around his age were standing against the wall, pointing at them and introducing them as well.
They waved at the kids, feigning enthusiasm. Because seriously, not only the children had a tough day behind them.

Jonghyun then jumped off the stage and walked to a random girl who sat cross legged on the tiled floor, looking back up to him. He towered over her like a sky scraper and she gave him an awkward smile, oblivious of what to do or say.

"Stand up," He ordered the girl who slowly turned into a human potato. She climbed onto her feet, awkwardly scratching her elbow.
Jonghyun turned her around so that she was facing the rest of the group, "Tell us your name, your age, where you're from and uhm, your hobbies," He said with an encouraging smile, even though the girl couldn't see it since she gave him his back.

He backed away from her and waited for her to speak up in a slightly trembling voice, "Uhm, h-hi," She stuttered nervously, "I'm Trina, I'm from San Fransisco and I'm thirteen years old," The rest of the group was dead silent as she introduced herself, some of them looking up at her with anxious eyes, knowing that they could be the next one to be standing there all flushed and awkwardly.

"I like skiing, dancing and --" She averted her gaze to a random wall so that she didn't have to face everybody, "That's it, I guess," She then turned around to Jonghyun, giving him pleading eyes and the monitor gave her permission to sit down again, which she did as fast as lightning.

"You," Jonghyun pointed at a random boy. The little fellow's eyes widened a little before hesitantly standing up to his feet, slowly turning around and introducing himself as Shane who loved snowboarding and swimming.

Not everybody was nervous though, because as soon as Jonghyun's finger fell upon a brown haired girl, she proudly jumped up to her feet and smiled at the group. A beaming smile that blinded the fuck out of the poor kids who had already problems with keeping their eyes open.
Her name was Bess, she came from Florida and was seventeen years old. A couple of guys' interest didn't go to her hobbies but to her ass, though, perverted grins appearing on their faces at which the blonde monitor had to facepalm. The girl, oblivious to why some of the kids were chuckling, got a little flustered and quickly sat back down.

Jonghyun stared at the older boys who had been previously ogling the girl with a penetrating gaze, looking at them like "you better behave, you horny bastards" before letting his signature grin slip back onto his handsome face, clasping his hands together and shouting a motivating "Moving on !" through the auditorium.

His eyes searched the crowd of kids, settling down on a certain blonde who was half asleep on another boy's shoulder.
"You, blondie !" Jonghyun smiled, making the kid shoot up in surprise, slightly in a daze.

He looked around for a second before setting his eyes on the monitor. He pointed at himself, mouthing a dumb "me ?".
Jonghyun nodded with a smile, leaning against the wooden stage.

He witnessed the blonde boy sighing exaggeratedly, rolling his big green eyes, "Do I have to stand up ?" He said in a whiny voice.
"Everyone has done it, so yes," Jonghyun reasoned, amusement flickering in his eyes, "and seeing as you are saying this so blatantly, it's not because you're shy,"

The kid narrowed his eyes at the older boy, glaring daggers at him. Some of the kids were snickering at the scene the pretty boy had made at which he had to bite his lip.

The guy he had previously rested his head upon nudged him in the stomach, silently telling him to listen to the adult and stand up because he would only cause problems if he started the first day of the boot camp already with making enemies.

"So unnecessary," He whispered in annoyance when he eventually decided that it was indeed for the best to listen, brushing the nonexistent dirt off of his dark blue skinny jeans.
Jonghyun smiled a little in victory, swiping his blonde bangs out of the eyes.

"My name is Key," The kid said boringly, an unexpected British accent flowing past his lips, "and I'm fifteen years old,"
He had his arms crossed over his t-shirt clad chest, and Jonghyun grinned. "Mind telling us your hobbies, Key ?"

Some kids frowned at the odd name of the snarky blonde, but were too tired (or too shy) to intervene.

"I'm from New York," Key ignored the question, turning himself to the other kids so that the monitor only had a view of his profile. Some girls giggled when he turned his head to them, whispering things to each other but he ignored it, giving them a disinterested look.

"Cityboy," Someone at the back of the auditorium sing-sang in a playful tone at which everybody had to snicker. The boy with the strange name saw in his peripheral vision that Jonghyun had to restrain himself from bursting out into a fit of laughter and he gritted his teeth in annoyance.

"Anyways," Key continued, glaring at the monitor who gave him a sugar sweet smile, "I think it's obvious that I'm fond of snowboarding and skiing, seeing as I'm attending this boot camp," He said as an answer to Jonghyun's previous question.

"Any other hobbies besides those, Key ?" Jonghyun asked him, eyes having a mischievous glint in them, making it crystal clear that he wasn't asking him out of interest but purely because he wanted to annoy the snarky blonde.

Key turned to face the older male, eyes on fire and narrowed into little slits. His friend was tugging at his pants, probably noticing that Key was fuming and ready to explode. Jonghyun just smiled at him.
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I do, J-Awesome," The blonde said harshly, almost spitting out the words and it made everybody in the auditorium hold their breath, "I like dancing, drawing, travelling and I play the piano," He said whilst keeping his green eyes locked with the other's brown ones, "and I don't like carrots, traitors, school and people who look like dinosaurs but act like puppy's on XTC who think it's funny to annoy the shit out of me while I'm knackered as hell," He snapped. Some of the kids rose their eyebrows at his weird choice of words, finding it a bit difficult to understand him because of his accent.

Jonghyun's smile only grew, "And I assume you are from British roots ?" He said, mimicking the other's accent in an exaggerating manner. The kids laughed and Key decided that if the blonde could play this sarcastic little game, he could, too. "You don't say," He said, faking a smile.

"No need to be so uptight, cupcake," Jonghyun smiled, crossing his arms over his chest. They kept gazes, and Key found it even more annoying that even the monitor's eyes were smiling, not only his mouth. He was really enjoying this, wasn't he ?

The green eyed boy opened his mouth to shoot back a remark but was cut off as Jonghyun turned his head to face the crowd of chuckling kids (they were clearly enjoying the show as much as him) and ignoring the fact that the younger boy was going to say something, "I'll quickly mention the rules that go around here, then you and our little princess over here can go to your rooms," He said, grinning a little as he saw Key biting his lip to refrain himself from completely losing it and attacking him right there on the spot.

The children all turned their heads to face the British boy, laughing at how he was almost trembling on his legs. Key let himself drop onto the ground again, not giving a kick when his friend's hand went to his and gave it a comforting squeeze.

"Rule number one, no cellphones !"

The room was quickly filled with groans and complaints.

"No cellphones, no laptops, no technical devices," Their monitor added.

"What about camera's ?" Someone asked.

"You can have your camera, but it's not our responsibility if it breaks or gets lost,"

"Also, no girls in the boy's corridors," The blonde continued, "No screaming down the hallways because we aren't the only ones staying at the hostel," He counted the rules on his fingers, showcasing them to the kids who were carefully listening.

"No dangerous tricks, no going on forbidden slopes," Some of the children gave him a "duh" face, others aw'd in disappointment and the monitor made sure to shoot the latter bunch of kids a warning look before continuing his enumeration, "Group A goes to their rooms at ten, group B at eleven and the remaining group is free to wander around in the building till midnight," He explained, making himself loud and clear.

"The lights go off at one and we will check upon you guys, so for the ones who like to sleep naked, we do not knock on doors around here, we just barge in so make sure you are fully clothed or covered at one a.m." He waited until the laughter that he had caused drowned out, "We wake you up at seven and you have time to freshen up until breakfast, which is at eight. After breakfast you have time to brush your teeth and put on your clothes or whatever,"

"Lunch is at one, dinner is at six and we all have to gather back in the hostel at seven in the evening, am I understood ?"

The kids nodded their heads and Jonghyun flashed them a bright smile, clasping his hands together, "That is all,"
The participants of the boot camp all stood up, gathering  up with their roomies so that they could go to their room together.

"We"ll continue introduction tomorrow !" Jonghyun said loudly, trying to make himself clear over the mumbling and shuffling of the exhausted kids.
The blonde boy was clinging onto his friend, holding his hand and once again leaning his head on the other's shoulder. The boy didn't seem to mind as he rubbed the back of Key's hand with his thumb.

Jonghyun eyed them for a second before grinning, walking to the other monitors of the boot camp and settling down on the ground.

"Don't you think you went a bit overboard, Jonghyun ?" The blonde girl named Tess said with a questioning look, gazing down at the shorter man who was seated on the cold tiles.
Jonghyun looked up at her inquisitively, "What do you mean ?"

Tess rolled her eyes in a playful manner, "Weren't you a bit too ... you know, it's the first day of the boot camp, you shouldn't act like that on the first day," She reasoned, lightly kicking his knee cap with the tip of her shoe.

"Are you talking about that boy ?" Jonghyun asked, seemingly confused, "The one with the pretty eyes ?" He asked to see if they were on the same page.
Tess nodded her head, taking a few steps back so that her co-worker didn't have to tilt his head all the way back to be able to look at her. "I don't know if he had pretty eyes, though," She quickly added.

Jonghyun just hummed at her, shrugging, "I'll make it up to him one way or another," He said, flashing her a handsome smile.
She rolled her eyes at him (again) before turning around and walking away. He checked his wrist watch when he heard the door of the auditorium fall closed, the soft mumbling of other monitors filling the large room. It was almost midnight.

They filled up the last hour with talking and drinking tea and coffee. The kids were already in their rooms but they had to wait until one am before they could go check upon them. They went over the schedules, doing last minute check ups of what they were going to do the next day.

They all decided Jonghyun was going to be their spokesman, seeing as he was the most motivating, encouraging and exciting of them all. The rest of them just faked it, even though they really were excited, most of the times exhaustion drowned all of that out. They couldn't feign it as good as Jonghyun could. As a matter of fact, the blonde male was so good at putting on a mask, that they weren't even sure if he was just acting or not.

When the clock finally indicated one am, they all stood up from the couch that was situated somewhere in a corner of the auditorium. Jonghyun stretched out his limbs, yawning loudly before shuffling out of the room, followed by two other of his co-workers. The others finished up their tea and brought their mugs to the kitchen of the hostel before going to their rooms, wishing the others good night.

Jonghyun made his way to the boy's corridor while another (female) monitor went up to the girls, not turning on the lights of the hallways and acting fast so that they could get over with it and go to sleep.

Without knocking, he entered the first room, peeking his head inside through a crack and shining the light stick he had brought as to not disturb the ones who were already asleep inside. When he noticed four boys peacefully sleeping in bunk beds, he smiled a little, closing the door behind him softly.

He continued doing his work, silently tripping down the corridor and opening every door to check upon the boys. They were all asleep, he should have known from the beginning that it was futile to go door by door the first day of the boot camp, seeing as they were hella tired.

He was almost done with checking every room until he came to a halt at a particular one, where he could see that the lights were still on in the room by just peeking through the key hole.
He opened the door in one swift movement, trying to come over as fierce and expertly and at the same time trying to keep it quiet in the peaceful hallway.

Sitting, cross-legged, on the bed was none other than the British boy he had been mocking just a couple of hours ago.
The blonde boy was dressed in a pair of boxers and a over-sized sleep shirt, cellphone in his hand.

He looked up at the intruder, slightly confused and in a daze. He wasn't quite sure what was happening until he noticed the sarcastic and annoying as hell monitor standing in the doorway.
"I thought you said you were knackered," The eldest said, that stupid grin again slipping onto his face as he stressed the last word in a mocking tone.

Key gave threw him a foul look, "Kenneth and David are still in the bathroom," He deadpanned, holding his cellphone still unashamedly in between his thin fingers.
Jonghyun noticed, eyes falling on the device which he had mentioned was not allowed at the boot camp. He raised his eyebrows in slight surprise, "Oh I see, that's still no reason to have the lights on though, rules are rules, kid," He said in a serious tone, no smile or grin or twinkling eyes noticeable anymore. He stepped forward, knocking on the door of the bathroom Key had said his two roommates were in.

"Hey guys, it's past one," He said, trying not to talk too loud because there were already a whole bunch of people sleeping.
There was shuffling in the bathroom, followed by two muffled 'yea's

Jonghyun turned his attention back to the device in the green eyed boy's hands, "Put that away," He ordered.

"Make me," Key shot back, lips pursed into a thin line. He hadn't even noticed he was holding his cellphone nor that it was  forbidden. He had probably been too tired or stubborn to listen when Jonghyun had mentioned the rules.
Jonghyu shot him a challenging look.

"I'll call your mom," He said lamely, too damn tired to come up with something decent.

Key questioningly narrowed his eyes at him, "Is that all you can come up with ?"

Jonghyun sighed, "Just put it away, Key," He was starting to sound really annoyed by now and it seemed that the younger boy was kind of pleased by it, smiling a little in victory at the sudden reversed roles.

Satisfied with what he had reached, he stood up from the bed, revealing a pair of skinny legs peeking from beneath his boxer shorts, and walked to his suitcase. Pushing it somewhere in a side-pocket where it wouldn't get stolen.

"Satiated ?" He asked, looking up at the monitor. Jonghyun had to bite back a grin, the accent doing something funny to his brain. It was sometimes hard to understand the younger boy which was funny, but the vocabulary he seemed to use on a daily basis was just plain hilarious.

"Satiated," Jonghyun nodded, showing off a sweet smile. This time it was the blonde boy's time to grin, bare feet patting against the tiles of the room.
Right when he hopped back onto his bed, the two boys who had been doing god know's what in the bathroom opened the door and quickly shuffled to their beds at seeing Jonghyun still standing in the doorway.

"Make sure next time the lights are off in time, boys," Their monitor said in a sweet but still warning voice.
He shot one last glance at the three kids, showing off his signature grin before saying, "Sweet dreams,"
He turned off the lights, "Especially you, princess," He then joked, quickly closing the door before a pillow could come in contact with his head.

there are many character changes, I hope you don't mind. (?)
this isn't going to be a long story, just a couple of chapters. not sure how many though.
I have spring break so I'll be able to update often.

uhm, I hope you enjoy ? please comment. because they are the reason I actually write. yeah. also because it's fun, but if you don't get rewarded for your hard work, it just seems so futile you know.

anyways.
I thought that snowboarding!Jongkey would be pretty hot so yeah, here you got it. Too bad there's too much age difference eh ? Well, you'll see how I am going to work things out between them if you read the future chapters.
there won't be any rated chapters. I hope that's pretty obvious ? fluffy stories should not contain illegal stuff.

oh and yes, there are going to be a lot of British slang words, hah ... like knackered B) which means tired.
School teaches us British English, but my mom learnt me American English so eh, I'm kind of a mix. Actually, in American schools, do they teach the pupils British or American English ? ._.

k anways, I know that the age difference is kind of disturbing but there's nothing ... like, weird, going to happen.
no rape, no pedeo!jonghyun, no child porn, no kidnapping and no child abuse.
