A Picnic for Three

Sep 29, 2009 06:50

Eliot had made the decision this morning that Gilbert was sulking too much for his liking. Vincent was away on some day trip, over all Eliot didn't attend to his middle brother's affairs if only because Vincent didn't rankle him the way Gilbert did with his fits of melancholy. Still the blond was gone for the day, and still Gilbert was pouting about something or other.

Eliot was home from school for the holidays, and really he was in a good mood. He and Reo had the newest Holy Knight book to read, and it was a lovely summer day. So why shouldn't he inform Gilbert at breakfast yes, he was going on a picnic with his youngest brother, yes he was making the sandwichs, and no locking himself in his room wouldn't work, Eliot had gotten the key from the head maid.

So here he was now, dressing in a light shirt with the sleeves rolled up, vest, and cotton pants with slippers. In the crook of his arm was his book, and a frown on his face. He had been standing at the stairwell at the agreed meeting time, and Gilbert still wasn't here.

"Gil, don't make me find you!" he called with a warning tone.
