colola, michoacan
i´ve been in colola for 5 days and its amazing. amazing amazing amazing. i´ve realeased baby turtles back into teh ocean and watched them dawdle of into the ocean, never to be seen again until they come back in 30 years to lay eggs. i´ve colected turtle eggs and burried them back in a safe part of the beach and run after stupid fucker birds so that they dont eats the lil babies. this coast is so rad and a lot of the people i am with are too. we live in a cabaña on the beach with, teh best part, sand for floors. i love it so much,i never have to put shoes on (except to get to the bathrooms) and we go swiming like everyday and i never have to take a shower. they also have chocolate milk boxes in all the abarrotes which is my new favorite thing, along with hamocks in the shade and spicey cheetos.
we hitchhiked down the road today to the closest town with internet, la placita, and tommorow we either ride 2 hours in the back of a truck, which is my new favorite way to ride in a car, or take the bus to get groceries.
my spanish is getting better by the day and i never thought you could learn that much in 2 weeks. its crazy. ealized you know how to say in things in another language or that you understand what people are talking about in a language thats not your first is really crazy.
