Update #1 It's now been 3 hours since that monkey locked me in here. I'm sure the guard knows what he's up to, but he's too busy with doughnuts and that damn blonde from the second floor to notice...
4:30am - I've only been trapped for a little over an hour, but the sick desperation I felt initially is now overcome with a wave of silent acceptance. Damn that Monkey...
5:13am - The small tribe of Pigeons that live on the sub-roof have brought me an offering of seeds and stale bread. They must think I am a deity, for one of them even anointed me as their own. If only I could fit through these bars, I could have my avian collective carry me to freedom. The pre-caucazoid must pay for the injustice and humiliation I face.
5:57am - The Rock Doves have flown the coop! I am now without hope and bereft of the feathery blanket that was my only link to the outside world. I swear to get that stinking banana burping baboon if I have to live a hundred lives in here.
5:58am - SALVATION! I have found what appears to be a native to this land, though she shows no signs of ability to communicate. Her plastic, glazed eyes, only rivaled by the gaping nothingness that is her smile. She has her name written on her forehead - "Ursula". I must find a way to reason with her, and turn her thick, rubbery skin soft again.
6:03am - Ursula and I are doing well. Our children are learning the ways of their father, and his father before him. Soon I believe they will have found a way to leave this place, and start anew in a land their father once called "home." But alas, I have grown old, and weary. My brittle shell will not carry me across the expanse of the "data-centre," the intolerable prison that I have learned to exist within, and I shall never see the sun again.
6:15am - HAHA! At last, the RAID controller has finished it's tedious run of rebuilding the 74GB SCSI drive, and I'm free of this madhouse! Sherman (the menacing marauder of a "mono" [meaning how mexicans mention monkeys]) has seen fit to open the door, as he has won the heart of the blonde on the second floor, and is now looking for a secure environment in which to hide from the security guard. Meanwhile the guard sits aloof of this debacle, crushing crullers and creaming coffee from his cold citadel of spurious solitude. Ursula, I owe everything to you. Our children have grown up beautiful and strong; take care of them. I was meant for this world alone. I was borne into this ravaging nightmare, and so shall I die along with it.
Oh yeah, gotta upgrade the firmware on the drives. Shit...
WHEN WILL I BE FREED OF THESE CHAINS OF CAT 5e AND SILICON BARS?!?!?!?
To Be Continued...
