Would you rather be an elf?

Did I say anything was?

It seemed like you were implying such!

Ambiguity, the poet's friend.

Ahh... err... hmmm. If you say so, I personally am no poet by any measure, gimme a sword or spellbook any day thankyou!

Swords are too much of a liability. Spell books are much easier. But you really should pay language and words the respect they are owed, you know.

Swords are only a liability if you don't know how to use them, or defend against them. That's not a problem I have. *Indicates to a sword she has at her side.*
Language... I grew up in a library, I respect language greatly, I just find rhyme something I prefer not to tackle.

But to use them one generally has to fight in close quarters. I would rather not, give the chance. Too much risk.

Not all poems rhyme.

Then you stand back with a weapon better suited to long range, I prefer a crowbow or fireballs - or deathspells.

Now that's half the problem right there, poetry can be practically anything!

Or find someone else to fight or another way around.

Poetry- *sighs* I use my own definition. But what I was refering to was the poetic... no... artistic, sensitive way of looking at life.

Well that is good too, I tend to do the fighting myself.

Ahh, that's something else again. I tend to be very blunt in the way I tackle life so looking at it in a poetic manner doesn't come all that readily to me. Being artistic isn't much help when you get into a huge row with your fellow department heads in your home city's biggest beureacratic sinkhole. Silly me for getting involved in government I guess.

You fight I'll watch and cheer.

Government and politics are both a waste of time. And I tend to think too much.

Most of my fighting these days is with those aforementioned fellow department heads and the worst they get is my fist to their noses.

I only got into it because of the stupid magiphobic attitudes where I live, I figured if you can beat 'em, join 'em.

Pity, but I'll still cheer. I like seeing other people beaten.

Ah. Don't you just hate that.

That'll be much apreciated.

Tell me about it but at least from where I am now I can make reforms to the anti-magic laws and how the policing of spellcasting is run.
