Doyle was brought back by the Powers that Be in the year 2010 after years of being dead the world has changed around him completely and finding out that the princess; Cordy, may in fact be dead or in a coma has left the Irish Seer both depressed and stressed which he tries to hide from his new friend who works for his former vampire BFF/boss Angel. Winnifred "Fred" Burkle is his eyes to the new world, helping Doyle grow used to the changes of the world and try and regain his place as a helpful seer and return to his normal ways though it seems more likely that Doyle is unknowingly corrupting the girl.
