(no subject)
So I was supposed to use this weekend to study for the exam I have to retake. You ask, "Eric, what exam would YOU have to take??". Valid question. I got hired at this restaurant called Rare Bar and Grill, on Bleeker St. in the village (woo!). Now, I knew that I had to learn the whole menu, but there's was MUCH more to it than I realized. They wanted us to learn the whole menu, plus all of the wine that they had AND MORE! Dude, it was nuts. So I obviously failed, which is fine. They gave me a blank copy of the test and told me to go home and fix what was wrong. I figured, okay I have to work all day friday and saturday, but I can use sunday to cram and just hope for the best. No such luck.
Let's back track. Thursday I told Debralyn that I wasn't going to be able to stay at Sleepy Hollow anymore. She understood and we worked it out that I would finish out the month so that she had time to find a replacement. So as of March, SHPAC is over and done with. But that means that, as of March, Zen Tengo is also over and done with. This is all fine and dandy, actually I'm quite excited to be done with both of these places because they've been nothing but a pain in my ass the whole time. The only problem is that I need to find replacements before it comes time to pay bills and I have NO JOB!! But anyway, back to the point...
Driving home last night, I got a call from Colby asking me to work the Superbowl Party at Zen Tengo today. I'm really excited about it because I'm going to be the only bartender. Lol, I swear, if I don't make money on this deal I'll be REAL pissed. Especially since I was supposed to to use today to cram for the retake. I've decided to ask for an extension on the retake... Hopefully they'll give it to me. If not, it's back to square one... But this makes me feel a little bit better. Like, hopeful in the smallest way.
