Top 10 Albums of '06
1.Mastodon-Blood Mountain: Hands down, the best band on the planet
2.Teeth of the Hydra-Greenland: Came out of nowhere and blew me away
3.The Sword-Age of Winters: A sick mix of Mastodon and Queens. Check this out, SERIOUSLY
4.Isis-In the Absence of the Truth: Wonderfully crafted and killer melodies
5.Gojira-From Mars to Sirius: So fucking heavy
6.Tool-10,000 Days: Such an obvious choice, fail to disappoint
7.Jesu-Silver: Though it's only 4 songs, it's a beautiful piece of work
8.Lamb of God-Sacrament: These guys keep bringing it, i dont care if it's cool to like them or not
9.Converge-No Heroes: Epic 9 minute track in the middle totally makes the album
10.Agalloch-Ashes Against the Grain: Perfect for forgetting about the world
Honourable mention: Misery Index-Discordia: Brutal and fast
Burst-Origo: Another few listens would probably put it on this list
Himsa-Hail Horror: With some decent vocals, they would make this list
Sworn Enemy-Beginning Of the End: Lets give these guys a break, shall we
Beecher-This Elegy, His Autopsy: More listens needed, decent stuff
Disappointments: All That Remains-The Fall of Ideals: I really expected more out of them
36 Crazyfists-Rest Inside the Flames: I listened a couple of times, didnt do much for me
Shadows fall-Fallout From the War: No way i was buying this bullshit
Killswitch Engage-As Daylight Dies: Glad i didnt buy this either
Trivium-The Crusade: Not a BAD album, just a large step backwards
Dead to Fall-The Phoenix Throne: Not horrible, just not that interesting
In Flames-Come Clarity: These guys are seriously losing it
Xasthur-Subliminal Genocide: I dont know what this shit is, dont buy it

Right now, The sword and Jesu are really doing it for me but these are all strong albums
