I'm so annoyed with the House fandom. Seriously. How does such an intelligent show have so many idiotic fans who just need to be stabbed with something? It's sort of my fault, I guess, because I walk into it. I went to TWoP and was reading the episode discussion for the season five premiere. I though 'Hm. I would love to talk about House.' I guess I want to talk, but I don't want to listen to other people. I swear I've never heard any fandom complain, whine and nitpick as much as in the House fandom. I really haven't been involved in too many fandoms, but, aside from The Hills, this is the one that complains the most. Maybe that means they are intelligent, because they analyze and talk about see different sides. Nah. The House fandom is full of idiots.
Hello?! Amber died! Someone died that they all knew. Of course they're going to react differently to it. Wilson deserved to mourn. I know that House is generally a jerk, but the way he treated Wilson last night was ridiculious and certainly there is an argument for House not being a good friend. When has House been there for Wilson? And even if he has, I would say this is the time that he needs to be there for his friend. Maybe I just expect too much from House, but I think Wilson has a valid reason for not thinking he and House had much of a friendship.
And yes, Thirteen didn't get everything right (Have you met House? Should we go through how many wrong diagnosises he goes through every episode?), but that doesn't matter. She's dealing with her own immortality. I don't know how many people have had to realize just how they're going to die, how painful, how humiliating, how depressing it'll be to know just what will happen to you. She wants to make a difference and she wants to know that other people will enjoy they life they have to live. Maybe I just really like Thirteen and people have always been really rough on her, but let everyone learn their dying and then have to deal with a woman who doesn't have any goals, but to be a lap dog, who doesn't cherish her life, we'll see how you feel.
And why is it that when Thirteen projects it's annoying, but when House does it, it's fine? Is House the only one who is allowed to project, allowed to have a problem?
I could go on forever about how stupid everyone is being about the episode. Honestly, I didn't think it was fantastic for a season premiere, but I think the character interactions and reactions were completely justified. It's nice to see the different ways people deal with death from denial, projection and other ways. I liked the episode because of that. So fandom, stop being idiots, shut the hell up and enjoy the show.
And nobody 'stole' screentime from anyone else. Cameron and Chase do not deserve the screentime that the ducklings do, because they are not main characters. Get over it. We have new ducklings and they are the main cast now. If you want to watch them, we have three seasons full of them to watch, so go do that, get off the net so I don't have to see you complaining about the new ducklings anymore. We have enough fans that we don't really need you watching the new episodes. Normally I wouldn't say something like that, but if they're not enjoying the episodes, then they shouldn't be watching them.
Also, note to Mousie, stop wandering onto the damn forums when you know it's just going to piss you off.
