Leonard has a slightly nervous smile as he drives Spock up to the old house,  it's a humid day but the sky is clear, no one has been in the house in about ten years so there will need to be some cleaning done but that shouldn't take too long. "Well this is it."

Spock had been pretty attentive, even wide eyed during the trip to Georgia. He had admitted to not going out of the city of San Francisco often, if ever. Even when he had, there hadn't been growth like this there, not from what Spock had encountered. The towns here were spread out, with numerous rural houses and dirt roads, back roads.

As they pulled up to the house, Spock shifted on his seat in the truck, a truck that rocked and squeaked a little more than he'd like, but got them to their destination. "This is the home you speak so highly of?" He asked, looking over it as they pulled up to it.

"Yeah this is it." He smiles stopping the truck and pulling the key from the ignition slipping it in his pocket. "No ones been in there for awhile, Sam's stationed off planet at the moment, so it's gonna need some cleaning." He says looking at Spock. "Just a good dusting and taking sheets off the furniture and taking the storm shutters off."

"Perhaps splitting the work will make it go twice as fast." He opened the door and got out of the truck, reaching over into the bed to pull out some of the bags. They'd gone grocery shopping to sustain themselves with enough food for the leave since there probably wasn't anything good left in the house. "I will remove the sheets and stock the pantries if you wish to work on the storm shutters."

"Sounds like a plan." He says hopping out of the truck and picking their duffle bags out of the back of the truck, and starting the walk to the house.

Leonard opens the the front door and sets the bags down by the stairs and heads down to the basement to pull out the tool box to get the windows off.

Spock headed onto the porch, pausing to shift the packages his hands as Leonard moved into the house, leaving the door open for him to pass through himself.

Looking at the scenery around him one last time, Spock noted the clouds starting to roll in. Something about that put him on edge, but he mentally pushed it aside before heading into the house.

"You do not mind how I arrange the food items, do you Leonard?"

"Nah. I don't mind." He smiles Coming back up the stairs two at a time, with a red tool box in one hand and a ladder under the other.

Leonard heads back out on too the porch and works around the lower level of the house. Before setting up the the ladder and starts working on the under level a little more slowly, he maybe immortal but falling off a roof would still hurt.

As he is taking the last shudder off fat rain drops start to fall from the sky. He looks up at the summer sky and and smiles a little, there was nothing like summer rain.

Spock, meanwhile, has put the refrigerator items away along with some of the pantry things before going through the house, pulling sheets off of the furniture and putting them in a pile for Leonard to decide what to do with.

He finished easily, and was settling back into the kitchen to finish his task he had started when he heard the pitter patter of rain on the roof. His ears twitched and he looked to the window to see it patter against the glass.

Leonard comes in shaking the water from his hair a rare honest full smile on his face. "It's raining." he laughs, picking up the sheets and carrying them into the basement.

He comes up stairs and opens a couple of the down stairs windows that are under the large over hand, it may be raining but they have to air out the house a little, at lest for a few minutes. It still a light rain anyway not hard enough to get into the house.

"You okay darlin'?" Leonard asks taking in the expression on Spock's face.

Spock looked to Leonard as he put the bread into the bread box on the counter, tending to his specified duty as the other man took the sheets to the basement.

He was almost finished when Leonard returned after opening the windows and addressed him. "I am fine. I must readjust to the rain showers that are present on Earth. Vulcan only had sand storms, nothing of rain. Water was very precious." He was finishing up in the pantry, furthest from the windows of the house before he straightened up, tall and stiff, and a rumble of thunder rolled across the clouds.

Leonard looks out the window to see if lighting follows, he doesn't see any and it's not raining any harder. "You've never been out in the rain, not even with all the rain in SF?" He asks a bit shocked.

A moment later he is taking Spock by the hand and is dragging the man outside into the rain looking up at the sky smiling. "Can't get this on a star ship." He says, though it's raining it's still pleasantly warm out.

"No, I would say not." Spock told him, arranging the cans alphabetically in the pantry. Some of the stores in Georgia apparently still believed in real, non-replicated food, which Leonard had expressed his love for after they left left the store.

The can clattered to the floor as Leonard grabbed Spock's hand and pulled him outside, right into the rain. It wasn't coming down hard, but it was enough for Spock to feel through the uniform shirt, not the tunic, he was wearing. "May I inquire as to why you've dragged me out here, Leonard?"

"Because it's summer rain, and feels nice, and you have never been out in the rain before." He smiles leaning in and kissing Spock.

The sky lights up with sheet lighting followed by a roll of thunder and the rain starts to fall harder.

Spock's lips formed a tight line as Leonard pulled back from the kiss, obviously not pleased as the rain came down a little harder. It was starting to soak him, and he did not like the feeling of it.

Thankfully, the roll of thunder above him caught his attention, even if just for a moment. "I am not pleased standing out here, Leonard."

"You're like a wet cat, come on." He says leading him back inside and leading him to a room on the side of the house mad mostly of windows, but it covered and you can still see the storm.

Yeah, Spock didn't look happy as he stood there, getting more and more drenched as he did so. He eagerly followed Leonard back into the house and shook himself a little before going into the room the doctor led him into. "You find storms quite enjoyable?"
