"There's only one Starfleet academy. And if you don't live in San Francisco, you have to catch a shuttle there. Well, I was late to the shuttle, and there were only two seats left, so I took it. "Jo, what happened when you had the chicken pox?" Leonard asks a smile on his face.
"I puked on you..." He said blushing again.
"And?" He says trying to to laugh.
"You told me it was okay 'cuse I was sick and that you still loved me" she pauses for a moment "...after you said a potty word." she adds with a giggle.
Leonard just shakes his head and smiles a little at Jo "See love is loving the yucky stuff too."
"I guess." she shrugs a little but there is a slight smile on her face. "Popsicle...so you love my Daddy because he said he was gonna puke on you? " She looks at her Dad, "Daddy why do you love Papa?"
"Because when he got on the shuttle he looked like he needed a friend, and I needed a friend even if I didn't think I did, and well Jim made himself my friend." He laughed a little.

"I asked him the same thing." Bones laughs.
"At lest he stopped being dumb Daddy." She says finishing her dinner, "can we had ice cream for dessert?"

"Not even when you were on that ice planet?"
"Not even on the ice planet." He ruffled her hair. "It was only a second before we got word that he was okay. But I thought I'd lost...I thought I'd lost my Bones." He grinned at the pun but grabbed Bones' hand, kissing his knuckles.
"Of course, after that I was so busy that there wasn't time to talk to your Daddy, but as soon as I could, I did. Now," He stood, heading to the replicator. "What kind of ice cream do you want?"

"Not really Jo, the ship got attacked and sickbay shook a little, it was a bit scary, but I didn't get hurt."
"Alright, Both of you have to stay safe now, because who's gonna take care of me if you two aren't careful?" She asks with all her childish innocence not seeing how serious her words are.

"Alright Daddy." She says taking her bowl and dropping it in the sink and skipping to the bathroom.

They happily watch the movie, but Jo falls asleep before the movie is over, curled tightly between the two men.
Leonard looks at the sleeping girl and smiles a little carefully shifting her into his arms and carrying her into her room.
