Leonard laughs a little, feeling at ease with the situation he leans down and kisses Jim. "Ya know...meeting her is gonna be a big step Jim. You sure you're ready for that?" He had to ask, as much as he loves Jim, he has to put Jo first.

The little girl squealed. "Really?! I get to go live in space?!" When Jim nodded, her responding squeal could have broken glass. "I HAVE THE BEST DADDIES EVER!"
Jim shot Bones a shocked grin, his heart twisting in his chest until he forgot to breathe for a few seconds.

"Daddy, I want to live with you and Jim in space I really do, I want to go into space, but is it up high? I don't like hights." She says taking a lick of her ice-cream.
"No baby, it's not up high, right really." He gives her a white lie, they will deal with that later.
He looks up and smiles at Jim. "You okay? You look like you are about to faint."

"Jim needs to get Jo a bowl for her ice cream before she gives hm more laundry to do." He laughed, sliding out of the booth and getting a bowl from the clerk, returning with it and a spoon. Jo handed him her cone and he set about scraping the ice cream into a bowl.
"Daddy, what did you call your Daddy? You only had one, right?"
Reply
"Okay." She says starting to think and digging in on her ice-cream, humming happily.
"Are you okay Jim?" He smiles at him. He wasn't going to tell him, his mother wanted them to come stay at her house.

"Virgina?" Jo asked and Jim nodded.
"I have a house up there. Your Daddy and I are on vacation right now and we thought you'd like to go stay there with us for a little while, ride some horses, have some barbecues and stuff, before you came to live with us. Who knows, you may decide you'd rather go to boarding school than live with my snoring and bad jokes." he winked and Joanna giggled.
"Its okay, Daddy tells bad jokes too. And," she leaned over to whisper to Jim. "His feet stink."
Jim laughed. "Yeah, I know."

"We can leave tomorrow, tonight we've gotta go to my mom's house, she kind of demanded it." He shrugs smiling a little, "We can leave tomorrow, or the next day."
"We are goin' to gran's tonight?" Jo smiled, "She sneaks me cookies when she thinks you're not lookin' "
"I know..." Leonard laughed.
Reply
"You don't have to sneak cookies, Jim! You're a grown-up!" Jo said matter-of-factly.

Jo doesn't let that happen though. "Daddy, I finished my ice-cream!" She grinned, holding up the empty bowl to Bones. "Can we show Jim Gran's house now?!"
Reply
"Jim. 'm sorry this got sprung on you." He says taking the other mans hand, and they walk to the car.

Jim opens the back door of the car, letting Joanna climb in. She straps her own seatbelt while the two men buckled themselves into the front seats.

He drives a long for about 30 minutes Jo falling asleep in the backseat, as the houses get further and further apart, 15 more minutes and they are pulling up to Leonard's childhood home. Chickens are wandering around outside, there is a paddock off to the left with a horse grazing, you can see a slightly over grown garden spilling out from behind the house.
"Here it is Jim."

Jim gazed out the window, grinning a little. "Its gorgeous, Bones. Very you. Why don't you take Jo inside and let your mom know I'm here and I'll bring the bags?"

Turning, he reached back to stroke a hand over the sidde of her hair. "Jojo? We're here..."

Leonard laughs a little. "Jo...we're at Gran's." She sits up when she hears the word Gran, and is unbuckling her seatbelt and bolting from the car, hollering out to her grandma, scattering Chickens across the yard.
"She's not the easiest girl to wake up." Leonard laughs a little, getting out of the car, and moving to the trunk, of the car to get the bags.
