Crossover

The combination of autumnal weather and not much to do seems to have addled my brain a little. Yesterday I slobbed around watching DVDs (The Mummy and several Doctor Whos, followed by Children of Men on telly) and crocheting sunflower squares obsessively. Today I slept late and had a very complicated dream which involved my chasing John Hannah through a decaying, dystopian London (much like the bit I live in now), while wearing a voluminous Time Lord robe in red, yellow and green brocade. Since like every sodding garment I have ever had in my life *grits teeth* it was too long, I had to keep stopping to hoick the thing up. I notice that I can run, and even dance, quite easily in dreams, and indeed I seem to do far more running than I used to when I was mobile, but I don't seem to be able to go any faster than I ever could in real life.

Anyway, tomorrow I am getting out of the house if it kills me, so I've arranged to meet a friend to see the Ballets Russe exhibition at the V&A and possibly get some ideas for embroidery patterns to finish off the silver wedding quilt with. Goodness knows what I'll dream about tomorrow night. I hope I don't have to chase Nijinsky - that guy was really fast*.

*Or am I thinking of the horse?
