Work seems to be picking up. As of Monday, I was due to head back to Chatsworth on Thursday, after completing my Health and Safety exam on Wednesday evening, then I was to process the Chatsworth samples on Friday and off to Canterbury on Monday morning (at 6.30 in the morning). This afternoon, I was just on the point of booking my train ticket for tomorrow evening when the boss called to say that Chatsworth was off this week, because the duchess wanted to use the room we would be sampling in for a party. I’m not sure if having my plans mucked about by a duchess makes it better or worse. Worse, probably. Anyway, now I have a few more days off this week and a very busy time next week.
At least the weather has cooled down a bit, so I might actually be able to do something at home. For most of last week, it was too hot to even sew or crochet (everything kept sticking to me).
