The g-d came round last night for dinner, and to catch up after her visit to Paris last week, so I was forced to clear several inches of sock-monkey paraphernalia from the living-room table and generally tidy up, which left me feeling far more cheerful. We had asparagus baked with prosciutto, copied from my meal last sunday. Asparagus wrapped in thin ham and gently baked - it was absolutely delicious, and I'm sure would work quite well with cheaper ham if prosciutto didn't happen to be on offer. Then we watched The Return of the Musketeers on telly, and she headed off to the boyfriends in Golders Green.
I'm still surprised by how cheering it is when I actually get off my arse and tidy the place up. Still too lazy to do it regularly for myself, too, alas.
In other news, despite my having caught one by hand and seen at least one other flittering about, the pheromone trap I set out in the bedroom has caught nothing. Humph. Clothes moths are remarkably poor flyers, which allows me to snatch them from the air (sometimes) and congratulate myself on my amazingly fast reflexes.
