All this winter I've been crowing to people about how, since I've been taking echinacea, I haven't had my annual filthy winter cold. It really has been remarkable. I started taking one or two capsules a day in November, and this has been the first January in years I've got all the way through without at least one mucus-packed week leading to a chest infection that requires antibiotics. But, yesterday on that freezing station platform, I got that scrapy feeling at the back of the throat, and today I woke with headache, mucus, achiness, the works. Still, I don't have any classes today, the weather is filthy, and I have plenty of reading to do, so I'll just stay in. Come to think of it, the tutor for our colour-matching class tomorrow will be away, so I could get away with not going in then, as well.

The available reading includes The Museum Environment, Environmental Management in Museums and Collections, The Tyrrany of Taste, and a history of the greenhouse. Gripping Stuff.
