All this semester's work is done! If I bent at the knees at all I would be frolicking happily.

Finished the presentation and gave it, in the remarkably facility-free room we've been allocated at Strawberry Hill (formerly Walpole's Green Bedchamber, and now some sort of store-room for disintegrating but uninteresting furniture). Apparently we have to continue having lectures there, despite the lack of facilities (and heating) so that we can keep our marker on the place while London Met continue to wrangle with the college there over workrooms. I over-ran by a few minutes, but everyone else ran under, so it all balanced out. We also got into the gardens for the first time, but this was a disappointment, with none of Walpole's elaborate garden remaining. It is very sad how fragile gardens are as art-works. The tutor we now have for historical studies is conscientious, interested, and quite happy to give us feedback and tutorials without having to be poked with a stick, unlike dear Dr Skippy who is currently off sick with his annual unspecified affliction.

So now, I have a nice, warm evening in prospect, with chocolate biscuits, wine and possibly a viewing of Calamari Wrestler with the g-d. The boyfriend is out watching the end of Celebrity Big Brother, for no possible reason we can think of.
