Lame Tokio birthday presents are the best!

So my sister had this great idea for my birthday present...but everything didn't go exactly according to plan.

First I received a notice from the post saying that I had to pay a fee online if I wanted to have by parcel delivered to me or to go to the main delivery office to go and pick it up, which is miles away from where I live. Actually I just moved to England a few weeks ago so I don't really know the city that well and thought that it would be a good opportunity to a) have a walk around the town and get to know it better and b) get lost, ask random people my way and approximately waste 2 hours of my time, which is what I did. Norwich's Royal mail delivery office is up in the forest, or almost. You go out of the town and then walk all these winding roads to end up surrounded by woods and think you're definitely lost because there is not a soul around. And then it starts to rain... a lot... and you end up drenched (yay England!). Finally you meet a kind person who tells you you're in the right direction, so you keep going, get to the delivery office, pay your £11,96 fee to finally get your birthday present... which comes from Japan. And then, you just forget the way you came from, take the wrong direction at a crossroad and literally end up at the other side of the town. So you walk under the rain for an hour at least until you finally get home and realize that your blue jeans have run into the white of your shoes and that now you have blue shoes.

Anyway, I finally opened my present and there it was, in all its glory: The Best E.P Selection Tokio. Haha I actually said to my sister some time ago when I suddenly had a urge to listen up to it again that it was so lame it was a must have. I mean I just loooove how lame it is (my favourites must be Ticket to love, Uwasa no Kiss, Heart wo Mygakukyanai and Music Chanel). But then I opened the leaflet and I just died laughing: you have interesting pictures like Nagase playing the guitar in his bathrobe, and not just one but two (like yeah I can't write a good song unless I'm almost naked, or the biggest surges of inspiration I have are just after I got a bath and rubbed my skin naked xD), you have naked Taichi too (and generally very yummy Taichi pictures) or Mabo thinking he is some kind of rap star or something like that ^^

So yeah, even though I had to pay for my present and had to cross a forest under the rain and then get lost more than it is necessary the Best EP Selection definitely made my day! :D

best ep selection, birthday present, random bits of life, tokio
