If it says Black Lotus... don't cut it up unless you want an expensive paper craft work of art. :)

If I had a Black Lotus, I would have sold it ages ago -- I'd use the money towards a vacation or a new computer...

All my rare cards have been pilfered by a friend, who in exchange gave me all commons and uncommons of many, many extensions. I have a lot of worthless cards, which is why I don't mind cutting them up! :)

There are various formats that only use commons and uncommons, so we still could have a game one of the days if you fancy. And they're never worthless. I believe old paper is worth 5 cents per kilo. :)

I also suck at deck building. That's also one of the reason I stopped: the tactics got too intricate, and I didn't want to spend lots of time building decks and hunting for specific types of cards.
