Due to the declining health of my father, I did not celebrate. I just went to dinner with him, a friend, and my ex sister in law and we had a great time.

Well, you can't change things like health issues, so you learn to live with it and be content. It is much easier that way and you are way more happy than if you sit in a corner and cry about injustice of life. ;o) Thank God I always was (and are) an optimist.
