So, the Boston Invitational is over. Jackhammer finished with 4 wins and 3 losses, which, I guess is pretty good considering that most of us haven't really played together before. In fact, I met a little less than half of the team, for the first time, on Saturday. Anyway, I didn't play very well until the last two games, where I finally found my A game.. which I guess is too bad. I would have been nice to do better before. Once the boston elite super team makes cuts, hopefully we'll pick up some of them for Jackhammer.
We played this team called La Casa Nuestra or something from north carolina, and they made the most bullshit foul calls all the time, and made bullshit travel calls everytime, so we got pissed at them and kept yelling and swearing at them and then they got all mad at us for being mad at their bullshit calls... then we started making some and one of them shoved one of our players.. but the best part was when one of their guys, before putting the disc in play, said, in his thick north carolina accent "Before I start, I just want to say you're all assholes!" Gotta love club-level ultimate. So much better than Conn college ultimate.
Anyway, I'm pretty tired and sunburned, and am not looking forward to waking up early to go to work tomorrow, and I don't know what else to say about the tournament.. so I guess that's it for now.
