court order gender change in Texas

Is it possible to get a court order for gender change minus having chest or bottom surgery here in Texas? Does anyone know of a lawyer that could help me make this possible or can I do this on my own? What are my options?

I believe that the court requires proof of irreversible transition, which usually means surgery. You could attempt to show that hormone therapy is proof of irreversible change. I'm not sure whether it would work or not. Much of your lucy will depend upon the county and the judge that your case is assigned to. I had mine done in Houston and was represented by Phyllis Frye, who is a well known TG advocate http://www.liberatinglaw.com Once your gender change is ordered by the court, don't forget to contact the selective service to obtain your exemption letter. These take a while to process & it is required in order for you to receive Federal student loans
