Nipple Piercing

Any guys out there who have had a mastectomy who got their nipple(s) pierced? I'm four years post-op and have always been interested in getting my nipples pierced but I've been hesitant and paranoid. For some reason I've had it in my mind that my nipples won't react well to a piercing. I had a t-anchor double incision and still have sensation in my nipples. Anyone have input they are willing to share?
