just a quick and hopefully simple question: i already have an updated passport with my preferred name and gender. when i applied for the new passport, they sent me back the old one and i've held onto it. is there any reason why, other than to reminisce about past travel experiences, i would hold onto my old passport? what's a safe way of destroying an old passport? thanks!
