another plasma donation question

In order to help save money for my top surgery I'm considering the idea of plasma donation. I've read through the tags, but have a question that I didn't find the answer to. I live in one of the states where you can change the sex marker on your driver license without surgery. So my DL states that I'm male, unfortunately I have been unable to change my sex according to the social security admin. Does anyone know if they run your social to see if it matches your license? I don't want to disclose if I don't have to, because that's when most of the problems I've heard of arise. Thank you to anyone who has any advice/answers.
