loss of credit history with name change
has anyone else dug out from under this sort of mess?
my bankruptcy (not sure if that is part of the difficulty) and legal name change filed on nearly the same day in 2007. now, as i am trying to get funding for surgery, my credit application history returns 'insufficient credit history'. nothing followed my SS number. i am 40 years old with NO credit history. the SS office has my name change not gender change.
i am at a loss as to how to get funding for surgery, establish credit, or clear this up. ideas?
