Mental Health?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any psychiatric hospitals, retreats, rehabs or mental health facilities that specializes in working with the LGBT community. It was brought to my attention not to long ago that if there are any places like this they are quite hidden, and if there aren't any well, I feel there is a need for them. Being transgendered and having lots of friends who are also spread out through the entire gender/sexual orientation spectrum, it's quite evident that sometimes there is a need for more than a counselor. With my experience in the town that I'm in, when you talk to someone who isn't familiar with those in the LGBT community things get misunderstood. I have also had the experience of going to a general psychiatric facility and having the staff not understand "what to do with" me, in their words.
