Peri nipple care

Mar 30, 2009 05:00

I had a revision on my chest in the operating room that included liposuction and scar revision for my nipples.

Besides having massive amounts of left over tissue, my biggest problem with my chest before the revision was that my areolae stretched drastically and the scarring around my nipples was prominent.

I think the stretching was due to fact that the surgeon used purse-string and taking down my larger sized chest caused massive pleating that probably caused stress on the stitching. So I'm hoping this time around they'll stay put.

But I'm interested if anyone has any special advice for after care for the scarring around the nipples. What products you used, how many times a day, how long, and that sort of information. Also, what was the time line for the healing of your nipples. When did they start to look normal?

Also, has anyone had luck with non-surgical methods of making the areolae appear "normal", such as developing chest hair that covered them or using fading cream to take shed off the pigmentation?

Thanks in Advance,
Adam
