Looking for churches
So after being absent from religion all my life, I've found my relationship with a higher being has grown over the last four years of my life. My faith hasn't been perfect since the epiphany I had years ago, but it's definitely been growing.
I'm doing top surgery in a few days(with Bible in tow for passing the time in the hotel) and have found myself more and more interested in seeking out organized religion. One thing I want to do with my "new identity" is explore different communities of faith because I am interested in joining others on my spiritual journey. I have closer ties to Catholicism because it's the faith of my dad's side of the family, but am open to any denomination.
I'd like to hear from others in their religious experiences through transition(it doesn't have to necessarily be Christian, even though that's what I believe in). Any advice on finding a church would be great. That is, of course, if you wouldn't mind sharing.
