So, I'm not quite sure how this worked out, but it ended up being a heritage day for me.
After I finished up at church, we went to this Greek Festival. This was the biggest piece of Greek culture that I've personally seen. The food there was awesome, saw some pretty cool things, but unfortunately... I was broke. I couldn't buy anything but food.
A while after that, we went to Annandale, VA. There was this big Korean festival there. This was for 추석 (Chusok = Korean Thanksgiving). It's also called 한가위 (Hangawi), but lets stick to Chusok. Anyways, there was also a bunch of food here. It was more expensive than the Greek Festival, but I was in a much larger group of friends here. Oh, and there was this big talent show and a rising rock band from Korea. There were a bunch of producers there, so this was a big deal. So one of my friends, Young-keun Lee (not Kim), had a song he'd written and made it into the finals. (I was told that auditions were a few weeks ago). So he plays and he did awesome! At first the crowd was like "ehh..." but Young-keun was really into it. By the end, he had the crowd. Anyways, while he was playing, our group was yelling and screaming for him. This guy in a suit walks up to us and asks if we're 'with him.' Of course, we say 'yes' and he gives us a business card. Turns out this guy was one of the producers!! Freakin' Amazing~! :D
Although I'm incredibly tired at only 10:30PM, today was awesome.
