not the best of BATS, but not the worst

Note: For some reason, the formatting on this entry got totally screwed up, and when I tried to cut and paste, things got worse. So I hope this is readable, but things like member names and hiding things behind cuts are just loopy, and I don't feel like retyping the whole thing. So bear with me.

I have an air card in my laptop. Basically, for $60/month, I can get Internet wherever I get cell phone reception. I assumed the motel didn't have Wi-Fi. Sorry if that messed you up.

I'll work on re-creating the position now. It'll be up in a few minutes.

My favorite line from this post is the struck-out "Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio?"

I was glad to have you as a roommate and travel companion. The car rides were great; I especially liked being able to distract myself on the way back. We should do it again soon.

I don't know if Cheryl told you, but yesterday she got away with MANITEES* in the penultimate game!

Was MATINEES unplayable?

And do MANITEES* wear shoes?

No, MATINEES and MISEATEN were very playable. And I don't get the shoes joke...

Um, Old-timer - or is it Sexy-Timer? - loved this post and, yes, I caught the clever Mrs. Pookington reference, but could you please use a cut next time? I'm reading this from a tiny Notebook, and the scrolling is giving me carpal tunnel.

Get ready for Korean meatballs on Saturday!!

As I noted at the beginning of the post, the formatting got all screwed up on this. The cut didn't work properly -- stuff I put behind the cut didn't appear behind the cut -- and when I tried to fix it, entire paragraphs started disappearing or showing up out of order. (Not the first time this has happened to me). So rather than retype the whole thing, I apologized in advance.

See you then!
