Being lovesick and heartbroken is possibly the gayest feeling in the world

Ugh, I hate drinking

I thought the same thing about Abigail. I thought I'd lost my best chance at real happiness.

(Un)fortunately a little over a year ago I met Meaghan, who literally had the potential to be everything I could ever have wanted. I'm still having difficulty dealing with that loss, and I am not sure if I will ever fully recover from it.

I do, however, have faith in my survival. I won't cash in my chips just because I thought I'd have the game beat with a king high straight flush only to have the dealer show a royal flush. So what if my hand was once in a lifetime? There are plenty of other good hands in the deck, and you'll never see any of them if you don't attempt to play.

I'm just saying, been there, done that. No point dwelling on it. Take the time to deal. Miss her, by all means. She is someone who meant a great deal to you, and missing her and thinking about her is completely natural.

Just don't let it drag you down. No one controls your life but you. There are other girls out there that are just as good, if not better. It's just a question of finding them. You're what? 21 shortly? That means in 3 years you'll meet someone even more perfect for you.

Just live your life the way you want and you'll find someone someday. You're a kick ass guy, and the only limey I actually wouldn't mind calling a friend.

'I'm still having difficulty dealing with that loss, and I am not sure if I will ever fully recover from it' - that contradicts everything that you're trying to say to me

The thing is, I'm not going to be happy with anyone less good than Charni. Her body, mind and soul are perfect; to this day I have no idea what attracted her to me, and I can't see anyone on that scale ever falling for me again
