I was doing some research today on the 2006 hurricane season... most of you know why this interests me. So far what the "experts" are saying is that we are going to have 7-10 hurricanes this year. Between 2 and 5 are expected to be Cat 3 or higher (110 mph+). Of those 2-5, the probability of landfall on the east coast is almost 70%. The probability of that hit to be located in florida is almost 75%. Basicaly, a conservative estimate of our chances of getting nailed down here is 50/50. Considering that a Cat 5 cyclone hit australia just recently, it stands to reason that this year will be another busy one as far windy weather goes. I'd say that you should be ready by May, cuz thats what I'm doing. Anyways, this has been a random public service announcement.
