(no subject)
Good Lord I am bad at this. The sad thing is I am on the net at least twice a day, and I check this site just about every day to see what you all have written. But I never sit my butt down and write my own updates. So here goes.
Well, September was pretty uneventful. At the end of the month, the Navy inducted their newest Chief Petty Officers, so I went down to Miami to see Will help pin the new guys, and then we attended the Khaki ball. It was nice to get to dress up kinda pretty! I wore a brown dress because 1) I thought it would match the Khakis pretty well and 2) I didn't want to dress too formally, since Khakis are a work uniform. I guess I could've gone a lot fancier though, because there were some wives there who were in some pretty dazzling black and silver dresses. Oh well, lesson learned.
October was pretty staid as well. Halfway through my work held a Staff Appreciation night out at the Biltmore on Clearwater beach. It was pretty pimp! They spent a ton of money on us - perks of working for a national corporation.
November brought the races in Homestead, which were GREAT! Will has some old friends from the Navy racing team and one of them, who is now working on a Cup team, got us some HOT PASSES for the race weekend!!!! For those of you who don't know, which is probably all of you, that basically means an all-access backstage pass. It was awesome as hell. Best early birthday present ever. :) So obviously November also had Thanksgiving, which was nice (There were so few kids at work, I got the whole week off!) and then my birthday, which was alright ... I got flowers from my husband, and cake at work, and cards and birthday wishes from people, and it was nice. I feel so old ... was talking to a friend from HS and realised that we have our 10 YEAR REUNION in 3 years!!!!!! GOD we're so olddddddd.......
December: halfway through and its going well. Got accepted to USF St Pete, accepted into the College of Education, got my class schedule and I only owe them like, 1380 dollars. God its expensive!! But worth it. This Jan I am going to be taking classes like "teaching elementary school science"!! Cool beans!! I feel so grown-up. Next Tuesday, Will has some training in Orlando, and Tuesday night they're having a party (another dress-up party!!) so I got Tues. and Wed. off work. Supposed to be staying the night at some nice Disney Resort hotel. We'll see. It will be nice to be off in the middle of the week, and split the workweek in half. Then it's Christmas!!!
