It's Pathetic, ReallyiamjustsciApril 22 2006, 09:00:12 UTC
You know, I haven't played for months, but I still have all that crap memorized to the tee. I was at my friend Pete's, and he asked me how to calculate fall damage because he was making a jump-attack character, and I quoted the whole bloody formula for it! 1d6 per ten feet beyond the first ten feet to a maximum of 20d6 to the thing you land on, half of that to yourself, minus any damage reduced by featherfall, catfall, or any other items, with an additional d6 per 200lbs of the falling object. Is that sad, or what?
Yet I can't remember the name of any of my highschool teachers except one, nor the names of my favorite professors. I remember the lessons they taught with inscrutible accuracy, along with particular days, events, and their faces perfectly, but if you asked me the name of that crazy african guy who taught my political science class (my personal favorite professor ever) I couldn't tell you. It was doctor somethingorother...but his father was a king of some tribe, and he was like the thirteenth out of thirty something kids, and his older brother is the king now, even though he's essentially nothing, and he flew to Camaroon when his mother died.
