interlude; gokusen WsIP
(Me on G!Talk): ...I might update my journal with snippets from what I'm working on. If other people know this stuff exists they might pressure me into working on it.
I've one I've been working on since probably JUNE if not before, and Cyn told me to finish it for her birthday.
I don't see it happening as of yet :/

001; The Gokusen epic started possibly before June 08. It was supposed to explore Noda/Fujiyama-sensei, until Yankumi (and therefore Shin) got involved:

"You seem a bit out of your depth," Shin says-
-watching Yankumi watching Fujiyama-sensei and Noda just two tables away. She is biting her lip so hard she might just draw blood, and shuffling in her seat just like Kuma does when a teacher tries asking him for a correct answer during class.
So am I, he thinks to himself, slouching back in his seat and picking at his jumper as though concerned because there's a bobble on it that needs to come off. He isn't wondering whether his clothes are date-appropriate. Not at all.
Yankumi is squinting behind her glasses. Shin watches her fingers twitching on the tabletop. He thinks idly about giving her some kind of support, reassurance, and his hand creeps silently forward past the drinks-
"Did she just brush her leg against his?!" Yankumi squeaks, aghast. Her hands go to her mouth and as she leans forward she starts chewing on her thumbnail. Shin flops back in his seat and through a veil of bitterness prays that Noda at least gets some; one of them should after all this trouble.

002; for brokemycaps low-key ficathon (as suggested by me!). Prompt being: Gokusen - Uchi/Natsumi (Shin's sister) - Uchi is a somewhat bumbling boyfriend, which Natsumi thinks is endearing, and Shin plays the part of protective older brother. And yet, I have no PLOT!

The only thing that could console Shin after that was that at least Natsumi hadn't let Uchi kiss her yet (and if she had, they both would have known much sooner than Shin would've liked that he was following them). He had stood there, leaning down hopefully with his chin thrust right out as subtle as a brick in the small of your back and Natsumi had just laughed at him and said a very soft but firm, "Goodnight, Uchiyama-kun."

003; I first saw this prompt on springkink, until anenko put it up on aforementioned ficathon: Gokusen, Yankumi/Girl!Shin - genderswitch AU - Kumiko has never been very comfortable with other women, and now she has to teach a class full of delinquent teenage girls. I LOVe the idea of Gokusen!girl!au: I've written snippets before now, but this, this is going to be epic:
Some of the girls are wearing fishnets. Winter is here, Kumiko thinks, and these girls are wearing tights with holes in! Her own are so thick you can't tell her skin colour beneath, and she does have to admit the fishnets do tend to go with the school skirts rolled up around the waist many inches above the knee.
She is making her way upwards, but Kumiko can't quite bring herself to look at any one of them in the face. Her sum experience with other women boils down to strippers, and meeting Wakamatsu's first child when she was born. They didn't have much of a conversation; Hina-chan was too busy learning to blow bubbles.
Even at school, Kumiko recalls, most of her friends were boys. And when she says 'friends', she really means 'henchmen'. From a young age she knew she'd be a leader. She just didn't realise at the time that it would be in the classroom.
"Um," she begins, clearing her throat. The sound is lost amongst the giggling and gossiping going on. "I think we should start class now-"
