I'm still way behind on LJ. If I know you in real life, odds are good that I've read your journal, but no promises to anyone else. I love you and all, but damn, everyone is so prolific!
Anyhoodle, I spent my morning at the company's sales conference, mostly receiving piles of praise for my work on the biology book we published in March and schmoozing with sales reps. I managed to scam a free lunch, too; one of the editors pulled me into the line for the buffet just as I was getting ready to walk back to the office. I ate the most delicious corned beef sandwich ever. I'm actually invited to the lunch tomorrow, and New Chemistry Editor asked my opinion on caterers for author meetings next week, so this is working out pretty well. Free lunch! Woo!
Work is tough, though. I'm still digging out from under the pile that built up while I was out last week and have plenty of other things to do besides, but conferences and meetings are much more fun than sitting in my office.
Also, if you're revbon22, you should be around for dinner this evening because I have a present for you.
