A thought
Do you ever think that Charles V ever just sat up and thought... "Wow. I own most of Europe. It is all mine."
The next logical progression would be questioning. "Am I responsible enough to rule Europe?"
Considering he came to power at 16, probably not. Maybe he would think something more like, "Wow! I must be really really rich!"
If he were cruel and cunning, he'd think, "I wonder how I can tax everyone to be the most beneficial to me."
If he were kind, he'd think, "Since I have such control, I can help lots of people."
But I don't know Charles V, so I don't know what he would have thought.
