I mean, it's not like you're throwing cake at the ceiling.

I really don't feel like writing, but I guess I should before I forget. I'll start at the very beginning, which is a very good place to start.

Mispar Echad - Yom Kippur
I wasn't actually in services that much because of all the programs. We came a bit late, then I did junior congregation for 2nd/3rd grade for half an hour, tenn program for half an hour, then discussion group for 6th/7th grade for half an hour. I kind of feel like I was being more productive in the discussion group than I would have been in services because you really get to influence them. I went back for the end of the morning service (at 1.30, mind) and then we stayed for the lectures about leaving the Gaza territories (by Ken Stein, family friend and foremost expert on Middle East relations) and Kabbalistic symbols in this Durrer painting, which wasn't that interesting. Dad had fun with his laser pointer. Then we went home to rest and went to visit our Reform friends, who were having break-fast at 5.00. I met some male sophomores at Emory and got their phone numbers for Lauren, my new sophomore friend at Agnes Scott. We took some food with for later and went back to services. The evening service is always nice, and we do a cute thing with little kids holding flashlights (as little kids and lots of candles don't mix). After that we left promptly and David and I had an argument in the car about who would eat the one orange frosted cookie, which we ended up splitting (I got the bigger half).

Mispar Shteim - Birthday, prologue
After proclaiming that I was going to sleep early, I didn't. At about 11.30, I noticed Granny's light was still on, so I went to visit her. Ended up staying up past midnight and she was the first to wish me happy birthday. As I went back to my room, Dad came in and thought he would be the first to wish me happy birthday, but wasn't. [Anyone notice how I'm using all prepositional phrases starting with a?]

Mispar Shalosh - Birthday!
I planned to wake up early to open presents, but didn't. Instead, Mom woke me at normal time and I still opened presents anyway. I got fun things like a green furry scarf, soft socks, an emerald green corduroy peacoat, and a necklace and earring set (from Granny, of course). Then I went to school, where Eleanor gave me a beautiful organic me-sized cake! I had much fun. Everyone sang to me at lunch, and I found out that I didn't have to go to theatre on Saturday. We went to Figo for supper. I had a gemelli arabbiata.

Mispar Arbah - The day after
I went to synagogue in the morning as usual. My class had been combined with another class, so there were four teaching assistants with nothing to do except shush them every so often. Rabbi Analia led junior congregation, but instead of having services, we had a discussion group. After that I went to Target, Party Ciity (which exists solely for Halloween, and I'm not sure why it's there the rest of the year), and the Fall Family Fun Fest, where I got a lightning tattoo on my head and ate a giant cotton candy.

Mispar Hamesh - The Stones
So, on Friday I told Daniel that if we had any extra Rolling Stones tickets, he could go. Turns out my mom had a headache and decided not to go, so I called him and he was very excited. So he got to spend a very long evening (they only came back after midnight) with my dad, David, and David's friend.

Mispar Shesh - Pirate Party!
Turns out a lot of people couldn't come, so it was the usual group (minus Jessie), which was nice (except for minus Jessie). We had pizza (which Eleanor ordered in an Aussie accent and received at the door in an Aussie accent, and Emily surprised us all by using an accent!) and cake and jumped on the trampoline and had long discussions on the trampoline. I was very proud of you all because everyone dressed up! Yay! Then I threw up from eating and then rolling on the floor, so we CAN say we have wild parties! But the cake was good. I cleaned up the kitchen so it looks like we were never there! Only the pictures remain, and I will post them soon.
I received three sets of action figures, among other gifts.

Maybe it'll be fall soon and I can wear my new socks!
