I forgot a few days ago to write that my rabbi had called and told me I have a chazakah (strength) for the Torah portion I read, which is apparently some sort of emotional conection where I can sing it really well. She wants me to come back next year and do it again because nobody else can do it as well as me. I remember last year when I told her I loved singing but couldn't do it because I'm not good at singing, and she said, "Nonsense. When any woman reads Torah, it is the voice of an angel." Which is a really nice thing to say. She just makes everyone feel good about themselves, which is one of the reasons why she is my role model (besides speaking like 6 languages and having a medical practice as well as a doctorate in religion and a degree from rabbinical school).
