Finally saw Avatar
Other than the obligatory Hollywood jabs at "Evil Big Business" and "Mindless Military Run Amok", and on the whole it was a very enjoyable film. A little heavy on the "green" message, but with that particular world and the obvious direct connection to a natural neural network the plotline didn't get overbearing. Obviously the visual effects were amazing, and it makes me hopeful that a REAL version of Heinlein's "Starship Troopers" (as opposed to Verhoven's "Space Cadet 90210" version) might eventually get made.
