Fanart: Shinichi and Ai as Zero and Yuuki in Matsuri Hino's "Vampire Knight"

I'm trying to turn this original Vampire Knight artwork by Matsuri Hino into a Shinichi-Ai piece for practice. XD (Still need to finish inking this, correct a few mistakes, and colour it this weekend.) Everything except the heads is half-traced, half copied from the original artwork by Matsuri Hino. The poor manga got axed and shortened because of the fanwars/backlash. I wondered why since it was a shoujo series with a plot and I did like both the good and the bad guys. Also, the art got very pretty towards the ending.

Am inking this and changing small things while inking (lips, hair, fixing small mistakes). I've totally forgotten how much work it takes.

I didn't like the twincest but towards the end it the plot made a lot of sense. If one cuts out the fillers and keeps only the Vampire-human fight, it could be awesome. (That, and get rid of the giant round eyes).

(I'd draw the same pic with Shiho as Zero and Shinichi in the fluffy dress if it weren't so much work to draw everything again. Sob.... I really need to learn to use Photoshop some day.)
